MYSIA. Lampsakos. 2nd-1st century BC. AE (Bronze, 21 mm, 6.44 g, 11 h). Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΛΑΜ Lyra; in field to left, forepart of Pegasos to left. Plankenhorn, Mysien, p. 96, 40 (this coin). SNG Paris 1234. SNG Tübingen 2307. Overstruck on an earlier issue from Lampsakos of the 'Athena/Forepart of Pegasos' type (SNG Paris 1209, SNG von Aulock 1302). Traces of overstriking and very minor corrosion on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
